Celebrating International Women's Day.
Updated: Mar 12
Today is International Women's Day! #EmbraceEquity

What exactly does it mean? The aim of the IWD 2023 #EmbraceEquity campaign theme is to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren't enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action.
For International Women's Day and beyond, let's all fully #EmbraceEquity. Equity isn't just a nice-to-have, it's a must-have. A focus on gender equity needs to be part of every society's DNA. And it's critical to understand the difference between equity and equality.
At JLU Global, we’re trying to celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness about issues affecting women globally, and take action to create gender equity. Imagine the possibilities if more people pursued these goals every day?. We can’t do it without you
Here are a few small steps you can take to celebrate International Women’s Day and create gender equity:
DONATE - Make a MATCHED donation to support women and girls. Every donation will support our critical awareness, humanitarian, and advocacy.
Think about a time when you’ve witnessed gender discrimination or abuse toward women. Reflect on how you can respond in moments like this. It’s always easier to address something when you’re prepared.
Post on your social media about a woman whose achievements inspire you (even better if it’s someone you know in real life). Use the hashtag #EmbraceEquity to join the international conversation and tag us @jlujustlikeyou
